A Saturday evening worship experience, meeting at 630 pm,
at the EMMAUS HOUSE (the old parsonage house) located
at 216 East 10th.
First Baptist is designated as a Heritage Church founded
in October of 1871 during the Washington Territorial period
of 1853 to 1889.
Senior Pastor - Bob Sievers
Pastor Bob joined our church staff in January of 2005
after serving for 11 years in Ontario, Oregon. He also serves as Chaplain for both the Thurston County Sheriff Dept and the Lacey Fire Dept.
Our church is a member of the American Baptist Churches USA. We value Community over Institutionalism,
Relationships over Programs,
Servanthood over Consumerism,
All while loving God and others.

Minister of Music - Dan Alexanian
Dan joined our church staff in April 1997. He is the Director of our inter-generational Chancel Choir. He is also the Headquarters Deputy Director of the Office of Drinking Water in the Washington State Department of Health.
Church Secretary - Lela DePaolo
Lela joined our staff at First Baptist in July 2013. She has a background in Graphic Design and she loves art, music and sharing her faith. Lela has two children. Mars is a musician and lives in Bellingham. Brittany is a teacher for Kaplan in Portland. Lela's husband, Michael, works for Lawyer Nursery in Olympia.
Visitation Pastor - Caroline Lehman
After retiring from her career as a Registered Nurse, Caroline began her seminary studies. She was ordained and joined our church staff in 1996. Her caring nature makes her a wonderful Visitation Pastor. She is a member of our Chancel Choir and she leads the Cancer Support Group..
We use both the Old and New Testament as the foundation for our faith and the inspiration for our daily lives. We put those teachings into practice at home and at work.
Associate Pastor - Mark Rambo
Pastor Mark's ministry responsibilities focus on Spiritual Formation for all ages, including our Youth Ministries.
He gives leadership to our House Church, Emmaus House, which meets on Saturdays at 630pm. In addition, Pastor Mark facilitates many of our community ministries including the Sunday Feeding ministry, Table Grace.
